Requesting Time Off – Employee Guide

Whether you're using the web or the mobile app, requesting time off is simple. Follow the steps below based on how you access Time by Wagepoint.

 

 


Requesting Time Off from the Web

  1. Go to your Timesheet and click the Add Time Off button.

  2. Under Request Type, choose either:
    • Paid Time Off – for vacation, sick, or holiday leave.
    • Unavailable Time – if you’re unavailable to work but not using paid time.
  3. If your company uses accruals (Vacation or Sick), your available balance will appear just below.

  4.  Under Payroll Item, select:

       Vacation

        Sick

        Holiday

   5. Choose the date and number of hours you’re requesting off.

   6.  To request more than one day:

        Click Add More Time

        Enter the next date and hours

        Repeat as needed

   7. (Optional) Add a note or reason for your request.

   8. Click Submit Request.

   9. You’ll see your request on your timesheet with a status of “Pending.”

        This means it’s pending review by your admin or manager.

        Once a decision is made, the status will update to either Approved or Rejected.

   10. To cancel a request, go to your timesheet, click the three-dot menu beside the request, and select Cancel.


Requesting Time Off from the Mobile App

  1. Open the Time by Wagepoint app.
  2. Tap Schedule at the bottom of your screen.
  3. Choose one of the following:
    • Time Off Requests – for vacation, holiday, or sick time
    • Unavailable Time – if you’re not available to work but not using paid time

Paid Time Off Request (Vacation, Sick, Holiday)

  1. Tap the “+” icon in the bottom-right.
  2. You’ll see your vacation and sick leave balances (if applicable).
  3. Select a reason for your request:
    • Vacation
    • Sick
    • Holiday
  4. Choose if this is an All Day request.
    • If not, uncheck All Day and enter the start and end time.
  5. Select the date of your request.
  6. (Optional) Leave a comment or note for your admin.
  7. Tap Submit.
  8. You can view the status of all your requests (Pending, Approved, Denied) from the Time Off Requests screen.

Unavailable Time Request

  1. Tap Unavailable Time.
  2. Tap the “+” icon in the bottom-right corner.
  3. Choose the date and either:
    • Select All Day, or
    • Enter the start and end time you’re unavailable
  4. You can optionally set this time to repeat weekly or monthly.
  5. Add a note if needed, then tap Submit.
